Since I went to a one room school I have a soft spot in my heart for them. We are planning a trip to PA in early May hoping to find as many of these treasures as we can before they are gone. Can you provide me with an address for the Johnston School on Old Mars Road?
So enjoying these glimpses of Mars. I grew up on a farm two miles outside of town but Mars was such a part of home and family life. I\'ll be looking through old photo albums for items that might be added to your collection. Keep up the good work.
Along with my membership, I\'m sending a donation in celebration of the opening of The Breakneck Tavern with hope that it will become an enjoyable and enduring part of Mars history. Cheers!

Keep up the amazing job y\'all (yes I\'m still in Texas!) are doing on this site. I follow on FaceBook, too.
One question....I can\'t seem to get the captioned pictures anymore. I was wondering if they were just not labelled anymore.
I grew up in Mars and come back for visits on occasion. The schoolhouse being renovated was located where my father, Grant L. Forsythe, was born. I enjoy following your site on Facebook. Keep up the good work!
I have recently started researching my family history through ancestry.com and had stumbled across members of my family who lived in surrounding areas of Mars, PA and until now I didn\'t even realize it existed. Looks like a fun town to visit just for the history!
